StockZip app support

StockZip is a barcode-driven inventory management app for teams managing real physical stock. It runs on iOS, Android and the web, works offline, and syncs automatically when a connection returns.

Supported platforms

iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, and any modern desktop browser. The mobile apps and the web app share the same account and the same data.

Offline use

The mobile app is offline-first. Scanning, counting, and check-in / check-out continue without a connection and synchronise automatically when signal returns.

Scanners

Scan with the phone camera, or pair a compatible Bluetooth or wedge barcode scanner and use it as a keyboard input.

Frequently asked questions

Getting started

What does StockZip do?
StockZip keeps a live count of physical stock and assets. You add items, organise them into locations and folders, scan them in and out with a phone, and see what is running low. It replaces the spreadsheet-and-memory method without requiring an ERP implementation.
How do I add my first items?
Add them one at a time from the app, or import an existing spreadsheet as CSV. If you already have barcodes on your stock, scan an item and StockZip will create it against that code.
Can my whole team use one account?
No — each person signs in with their own account inside your organisation. That is what makes the activity history useful: every movement is attributed to a person.

Help with account access

I forgot my password.
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed reset link. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then contact contact@stockzip.app from the address on the account.
I no longer have access to my sign-in email.
Email contact@stockzip.app with your name, company and the old email address. We will verify ownership of the account before changing anything.
How do I remove someone from my team?
An owner or administrator can deactivate a member in the team settings. Their past activity history is retained so that records stay complete.

Barcode and scanner help

Which codes are supported?
Common 1D retail and logistics barcodes and 2D QR codes. If a code will not read, check that the whole code including its quiet margins is inside the frame.
The camera will not scan.
Confirm the app has camera permission in your device settings, clean the lens, and improve the lighting. Damaged, curved or very small printed codes may need a hardware scanner.
Can I use a hardware scanner?
Yes. Pair a compatible Bluetooth or wedge scanner with your device; it behaves as a keyboard, so scanning into the search or scan field works directly.
Can I print my own labels?
Yes — StockZip generates labels and asset tags for items so untagged stock can be brought into the system.

Offline and synchronisation help

Does the app work without a connection?
Yes. StockZip is offline-first: you can scan, count, and check items in and out with no signal. Changes queue on the device.
When does it sync?
Automatically, as soon as a connection returns. Queued changes are applied in the order they were made.
Two people changed the same item offline. What happens?
Both movements are applied in sequence rather than one silently overwriting the other, and both appear in the item’s activity history so the sequence can be reviewed.
My changes still show as queued.
Keep the app open on a working connection for a moment. If the queue does not clear, note the device and app version and email contact@stockzip.app — do not delete and reinstall the app while changes are still queued.

Import and export help

How do I import existing stock?
Export your spreadsheet as CSV and import it from the web app. Match your columns to StockZip fields during the import step, and import a small sample first to confirm the mapping.
How do I get my data out?
Export items, quantities and movement history as CSV from the web app at any time. Your data is yours.
Can I import photos?
Item photos are added from the app rather than through CSV.

Subscription and billing help

How is StockZip charged?
StockZip has a free tier and paid plans; current plans and prices are shown on stockzip.app. Some capabilities are available only on paid plans.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Manage the subscription from the billing section of the web app. If you cancel, your account moves to the free tier rather than being deleted, so your records stay accessible.
Where are my invoices?
Invoices are available in the billing section of the web app and are sent to the billing email on the account.
I need a refund.
Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund partial periods, though that does not affect your rights under Malaysian consumer law or where we have failed to provide the service. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google, not by us. For anything else, email contact@stockzip.app with the invoice reference.

Export or delete your data

You can export your inventory data as CSV from the app, and request deletion of your account and its records at any time.
